But keep in mind guys, early in the season all results are skewed AF and there isn't much we can do about it until more data comes in anyway.

I never use current season results as there is far too little data to be useful. And, if there's a 93 yard run after the 94 yarder is deleted, then that's perfect because it shows the play is still dangerous. I think, with the median average, you'd lose that and it might skew too short.

When I have time, I move the data in to a spreadsheet, then delete the longest run, and I've found it almost always reverts YPC back to a small number. However, that's time consuming and it would be nice to have that already in the data (like YPA/YPC for passing).

You could get real fancy in adjusting it.

Median + average + average with high/low removed 3 = weighted ypc.

Now we got the math minds going here. But the median value removing highest and lowest is probably sufficient honestly. It is what I do myself when I use scout tool

I meant median and not mean, shouldn't post when tired... >.<

But yea, just some basic adjustment could really help to give us a better idea despite sample size.
